It’s safe to say Alex Morgan is back.

Morgan wasn’t close to herself during the World Cup, and we found out why soon afterward, when she had minor knee surgery.

Seven months later, the 26-year-old seems to have regained not only her health, but her striker’s deadly timing.

Morgan has five goals — so far — in the United States’ Olympic qualifying tournament, 2016-Rio-Olympic-Logo-7including three on Friday (Feb. 19) in a 5-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago in Houston.

That game put the U.S. women through to Sunday’s final against Canada (4 p.m. CT on NBC Sports Live Extra). More important, it guaranteed Team USA a spot in this summer’s Rio Olympics.
