Kelley O’Hara tells John D. Halloran of American Soccer Now that she was thrilled to get a chance to play a key role in the United States’ bringing home the World Cup. She scored late in the semifinal against Germany — her first international goal — to ensure that Team USA would move on to the championship game.

But the Stanford grad says she’s already turned her sights to 2016.

“I’m so happy that we were able to achieve what we did this summer,” she says, “but honestly, as soon as that whistle blew … I’m also thinking about next summer.”

She adds: “I hope everyone’s ready to do this again, because I am.”
